HAMILTON, Ohio — A driver was thrown from a vehicle and flown to the hospital after a serious rollover crash in Hamilton on Wednesday night.
The one-car crash happened at about 8:50 p.m. near Eaton Avenue and Taft Place. Emergency crews called for a medical helicopter after the driver was ejected from the vehicle.
Eaton Avenue was shut down following the crash as police and first responders remained at the scene. No further details have been released about the driver’s condition or the cause of the crash.
The crash occurred just outside Clermont County but within the wider Greater Cincinnati region, where road crashes are a daily occurrence. According to the Ohio-Kentucky-Indiana Regional Council of Governments, known as OKI, the eight-county region — which includes Clermont, Hamilton, Butler, and Warren counties in Ohio — averages nearly 44,000 crashes a year, roughly 120 every day.
