CLERMONT COUNTY, Ohio — A man is facing a felony charge after authorities say firearms were discovered during a search warrant executed at a Clermont County home.
According to a complaint filed in Clermont County Municipal Court, investigators executed a search warrant Tuesday at a residence on Loda Drive in Union Township as part of an ongoing investigation.
The operation involved the Clermont County Sheriff’s Office SWAT team, sheriff’s detectives and the Ohio State Highway Patrol’s Office of Criminal Investigations, according to court documents.
Court records state that Thomas C. Eldridge, who was present during the search, told investigators he lived at the home.
Authorities say three firearms were located inside the residence during the execution of the warrant.
According to the complaint, Eldridge told detectives he was aware the firearms were in the home and “wished they weren’t there.”
Court records also state Eldridge previously had been convicted of aggravated burglary in Hamilton County, making it illegal for him to possess firearms.
He has been charged with having weapons while under disability, a third-degree felony, according to the complaint.
The case remains pending in Clermont County Municipal Court
