GOSHEN TOWNSHIP, Ohio — Police say a gun was fired inside a Clermont County home during an argument — leaving a bullet hole in the ceiling and a man now facing charges.
A Clermont County man is facing charges after police say he fired a gun inside a home during an argument.
According to court documents, officers were called to a property on Peggy Drive in Goshen Township on Monday, April 28, following reports of a disturbance.
When police arrived, witnesses told them Cole Rodgers had been using drugs and discharged a firearm inside the home during an argument.
Officers were shown a bullet hole in the ceiling of the living room, along with a spent shell casing on the floor and an empty holster on a couch.
Police say Rodgers admitted firing the gun inside the home, but claimed it was an accident.
Witnesses told officers they believed he was impaired, and authorities say he showed clear signs of intoxication, with methamphetamine suspected.
Rodgers denied using drugs in the days leading up to the incident.
He has now been charged with using weapons while intoxicated.
The incident remains under investigation.
