COLUMBUS, Ohio — Gov. Mike DeWine unveiled eight economic development initiatives statewide expected to generate 1,320 new jobs, retain 1,195 existing positions and attract more than $853 million in private investment.
In Batavia Township, Clermont County, Dainty USA LLC plans to create 240 full-time jobs with an estimated $15.8 million in new annual payroll. The company will purchase and renovate an existing facility to manufacture and package private-label microwaveable rice products for retail and grocery customers.
The Ohio Tax Credit Authority approved job creation incentives for the projects. State officials described the announcements as part of efforts to bolster manufacturing and food processing sectors across Ohio.
Local leaders in Clermont County welcomed the investment as a boost to the regional economy. No specific timeline for hiring or operations startup was provided.
