BATAVIA, Ohio — Clermont County Juvenile Court celebrated the graduation of its latest Family Recovery Court participant Thursday while receiving recertification from the Ohio Supreme Court for the specialized program.
Judge James A. Shriver presided over the 10:45 a.m. ceremony Jan. 15 at the Juvenile Court building. The event marked the 23rd commencement since the docket launched in 2014, bringing the total number of graduates to 39. The program assists parents struggling with substance use disorders in achieving sobriety, completing treatment and reunifying safely with their children.
Recertification followed a comprehensive review that commended the court’s partnerships with child welfare agencies, treatment providers and community resources. Officials highlighted the model’s effectiveness in reducing recidivism and supporting family stability.
The public ceremony underscored ongoing commitment to recovery-focused justice in Clermont County.
