BATAVIA, Ohio — Clermont County officials are instructing property owners to remit only their first-half real estate tax payments at this time due to required recalculations stemming from recent state legislative changes.
The auditor and treasurer’s offices noted that second-half amounts will be adjusted and billed later. Any overpayments made with the first-half installment, due Feb. 13, will be refunded, though processing could take several weeks. Taxpayers should not include estimated second-half amounts to avoid complications.
The advisory aims to prevent confusion and ensure accurate collections amid the mandated updates. County staff encouraged residents to contact their offices with questions about bills or payment options.
