BATAVIA, Ohio — Clermont County officials issued a Level One snow emergency Feb. 6 as winter weather produced hazardous road conditions across the area.
Under a Level One advisory, roadways remain open but are considered slick and dangerous due to accumulating snow or ice. The sheriff’s office recommended limiting travel to essential trips only and urged drivers to exercise extreme caution, equip vehicles with winter tires or chains if needed, and maintain safe following distances.
The declaration allows for coordinated response from county road crews, law enforcement and emergency services. No major incidents tied to the weather were immediately reported, though officials monitored for stranded motorists or accidents.
Residents were advised to check local forecasts and prepare for possible escalation to higher emergency levels if conditions worsened.
