BATAVIA, Ohio — Clermont County authorities have secured indictments and arrests against three men residing in other states for unrelated sexual assaults on underage girls, with swift action by sheriff’s detectives leading to their detentions.
Matthew Belvin Hager, 41, now of Minnesota, faces 11 counts of rape of a child, seven counts of gross sexual imposition and one count of felonious assault. The alleged victim was 9 and 10 years old during the offenses. The girl disclosed the abuse shortly before Hager relocated to Minnesota in 2016. He was previously arrested there in 2025 for abusing two other juveniles and now faces extradition to Ohio.
Fabian Johnny Martinez, 19, of Florida, was indicted on one count of rape, one count of kidnapping and two counts of gross sexual imposition involving a 14-year-old victim. Alexander Michael Hydrus, 22, of Connecticut, faces two counts of rape, one count of kidnapping, two counts of gross sexual imposition and one count of interference with custody in connection with a 13-year-old.
Clermont County Sheriff’s detectives located and arrested all three within hours of the grand jury indictments. Prosecutor Mark J. Tekulve stated that the office and sheriff’s team pursue such cases relentlessly, regardless of suspects’ locations, to deliver justice for victims. All three men will be transported to Clermont County to face proceedings. The cases appear unrelated.
