Teen pulled from YMCA pool after possible drowning

WILLIAMSBURG TOWNSHIP, Ohio — Emergency responders rescued a 17-year-old male from a swimming pool Thursday afternoon after he was pulled unresponsive from the water at the YMCA in the 2000 block of James E. Sauls Sr. Drive.

The Clermont County Communications Center received a 911 call at 4:31 p.m. from a female staff member reporting a possible drowning. Clermont County sheriff’s deputies arrived at 4:35 p.m., followed closely by Williamsburg Township Fire & EMS at 4:36 p.m. On-duty lifeguards had already removed the teen from the pool and initiated CPR. EMS personnel took over advanced life support measures upon arrival and successfully restored a pulse.
