Two shootings reported on same Covington street in less than 24 hours

COVINGTON, Ky. — Police are investigating after a teenager was hospitalised following a shooting in Covington on Sunday night — the second shooting reported on Madison Avenue in less than 24 hours.

Officers were called to the 1100 block of Madison Avenue, near West 11th Street and Covington Latin School, shortly after 8 p.m. Police said they found a teen with a gunshot wound. The victim was taken to UC Medical Center with injuries described as non-life-threatening and was later listed as stable.

No suspect was in custody as of Monday, but police said they believe the shooting was an isolated incident and there was no ongoing threat to the public.
