New Richmond school levy crushed as nearly 70% vote no

NEW RICHMOND, Ohio — New Richmond school leaders are facing fresh financial questions after voters overwhelmingly rejected a proposed operating levy in Tuesday’s primary election.

Unofficial results from the Clermont County Board of Elections show the proposed additional tax levy for New Richmond Exempted Village School District failed by a wide margin.

With all 16 precincts reporting, 2,471 voters — or 69.96% — voted against the levy. Just 1,061 voters, or 30.04%, voted in favor.
