Driver faces two felony charges after survey worker killed on Route 125

UNION TOWNSHIP, Ohio — A Cincinnati-area man is facing two first-degree felony counts of aggravated vehicular homicide after investigators say a survey worker was struck and killed Tuesday evening on State Route 125 in Union Township.

Court records filed Wednesday in Clermont County Municipal Court show Prince Kalpesh Patel, of Cincinnati, is charged with aggravated vehicular homicide and aggravated vehicular homicide — recklessly in connection with the April 21 crash. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 1 p.m. May 4 before Judge Anita M. Bechmann in Batavia.

The fatal crash happened at about 6:22 p.m. on State Route 125 near Bennett Road, a busy stretch of roadway running through Union Township.
