Union Township man charged after police say he fired rifle while high

UNION TOWNSHIP, Ohio — A Clermont County man is facing a weapons charge after police say he fired a rifle from inside a vehicle while under the influence after calling 911 to report suspicious people on his property.

Brandon A. Truman, 31, of Batavia, is charged with using weapons while intoxicated, a first-degree misdemeanor.

According to a court affidavit, officers were dispatched to a home on Shephard Road around 2 a.m. April 21 after Truman reported two people on his property and said he had armed himself with a rifle.
