UNION TOWNSHIP, Ohio — A Union Township man is facing a theft charge after allegedly stealing more than $300 worth of merchandise from a Clermont County Meijer store, according to court documents.
Max Brockman, 37, was charged April 6 with misdemeanor theft in connection with an incident reported at the Meijer store on Eastgate North Drive.
According to an affidavit, police were called to the store on March 20 after loss prevention staff reported multiple theft incidents. Investigators say that on March 9, Brockman entered the store, selected cleaning supplies totaling $314.85, and walked out through all points of sale without paying.
Court documents state another individual, identified as Josh Brockman, entered the store and left with him. The two allegedly exited the building and drove away in a tan Ford vehicle with no license plate displayed.
Police say a reverse search through Bureau of Motor Vehicles records identified the vehicle as belonging to Josh Brockman. A warrant was issued April 6 in the case.
Max Brockman is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
