MILFORD, Ohio – The plans were revealed during Thursday evening’s state of the city event, where officials outlined a long-term strategy focused on growth while preserving Milford’s historic character.
At the center of the proposals is a potential $15 to $20 million “anchor project” near the Little Miami River and bike trail, which could bring dozens of new residential units alongside amenities designed to attract both residents and visitors.
City leaders also outlined a wider redevelopment of key downtown sites, combining commercial space, housing, and public areas in what was described as a coordinated “package deal.”
Another major proposal — known as the Rivers Edge project — could bring around 350 residential units to a long-vacant site near Target and Cinemark, with an estimated value of up to $70 million.
While no plans have been finalized, officials say the vision could unfold over the next five to 15 years as Milford balances growth with preserving its historic identity.
Some residents have raised concerns about parking and traffic, while city leaders say studies are already underway to address those issues.
