UNION TOWNSHIP, Ohio — A Clermont County man is facing charges after a road rage incident escalated into alleged threats and vehicle damage at multiple locations in Union Township.
Robin L. Deckard, of Milford, has been charged with aggravated menacing and criminal damaging, both first-degree misdemeanors.
According to court records, the incident unfolded on Thursday along Mount Carmel-Tobasco Road and Ohio Pike.
Authorities say the situation began when Deckard allegedly pulled out in front of another driver, sparking a confrontation between the two.
Investigators allege Deckard then turned his vehicle around and began following the driver through traffic before both vehicles pulled into a Speedway gas station on Ohio Pike.
At that location, Deckard is accused of repeatedly slamming his car door into the victim’s vehicle, causing significant dents.
Court documents state Deckard also made threats to kill the driver during the encounter. The victim, fearing for his safety, reportedly armed himself with a firearm while inside his vehicle.
The incident continued nearby at a Dollar General store on Clough Pike, where further threats were allegedly made.
Charges were filed earlier today and a warrant has been issued for Deckard’s arrest.
